Pakistan Tour of England T20I Betting Tips & Previews

Haris Rauf: The England v Pakisatan T20 Series betting tips favourite for top bowler

With the Test Series now over, it’s time to move onto the shortest format, with England playing Pakistan in a three-match T20 series.

All three matches will be played at Old Trafford in Manchester, starting with this one that begins at 18:00 IST on August 28.

It’s worth remembering that England won that Test series 1-0 but as we’ll soon discuss, that’s pretty much an irrelevance here.

Up next is the team news, the stats you need to know and of course the best cricket betting tips ahead of this intriguing match.

England v Pakistan T20I betting tips and predictions

Up next are the tips which will hopefully not only make this a great game to watch but a profitable one, too.

Remember that the objective of any winning bet is to maximise the payout on it and we do that by always securing the best odds on that outcome.

That’s why it’s always good not just to have accounts with the best betting sites but also to have at least two different accounts. Now we’ve cleared that up, it’s time for our tips!

Back Babar Azam to be Pakistan Top Batsman3.0The Pakistani skipper may well be the best T20 batsman in the world, bar none. We don’t just say that because he’s the Number 1 ranked batsmen in the ICC rankings but also because of what our eyes tell us. He was in good form in the Test series but this is the format where he’s  a mega superstar and could well lead by example with the bat once again.Casumo
Back Haris Rauf to be Pakistan Top Bowler4.5Rauf was excellent in the Big Bash and though he hasn’t had much of a chance to impress in international cricket, he really does look the real deal. He’s quick, bowls full and at the stumps most of the time but can also show some good variations, particularly at the death when wickets most tend to fall. As an added bonus, England won’t have seen much of him so far.10CRIC
Back Pakistan to win2.37It’s been a theme all summer to take on England in the first match of a Series and it worked in the Test series against the Windies and almost (should have) worked against Pakistan in the Tests.

We’re not abandoning that strategy here, especially with Pakistan having so many exciting options with the ball and England missing key men.

England’s recent form

England haven’t picked any of the players who played in that Test series so there’s no Ben Stokes (who was unavailable by being in New Zealand anyway), Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes or Mark Wood from among the T20 regulars.

It seems Joe Root’s T20 career for England is over anyway but that’s a story for another day.

It’s pretty hard to predict who they’ll pick for this first T20 with only skipper Eoin Morgan, openers Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy, spinner Adil Rashid and probably all-rounder Moeen Ali certain of getting a game.

England fans would surely love to see an exciting young prospect, Tom Banton, given a chance with the bat but it’s actually Dawid Malan who has the best record of anyone in this format for England, so they should really play him if they’re looking to field their strongest side.

England have won their last four T20 Series where they’ve been made up of more than one match. They’re particularly strong at home of course, but do remember they’re missing key players.

Pakistan’s recent form

Unlike England, Pakistan will field players from the T20 side so that includes skipper Babar Azam, bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan, impressive wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizman, teenage pace bowler Naseem Shah, and left-arm paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The man to really look out for though, is Haris Rauf.

He took the Big Bash by storm this season, coming from complete obscurity to become an overnight star and is perhaps the most important player with the ball for them because of his remarkable ability to take wickets so regularly.

There are also places in the squad for veteran duo Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik, the canny Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir, a specialist in this format who no longer plays Test matches.

Recently, they lost in Australia (no disgrace there) but beat Bangladesh 2-0.

As per usual, you never know which Pakistan might show up.

Where to bet on England v Pakistan first T20I

So that’s why we think Pakistan have a great chance here and that’s why we’re putting our money where our mouth is.

Babar Azam is a very solid pick, Harris Rauf is carrying our money as well and we’re confident in showing some sort of profit here.

Remember to read our reviews so you can decide for yourselves which betting sites of the ones we recommend, are right for you.
