Portuguese Superliga: Braga v Boavista odds and tips

The big news before the Coronavirus break was that Braga’s manager Ruben Amorim left to go to Sporting Lisbon, which cost the Lisbon club 10 million Euros in compensation fees. Their return to football didn’t start well for them without Amorim, losing 3-2 at Santa Clara last week.

But though they’ll take time to fully get back on track under a new manager, they should win this game. They’re a massive 17 points ahead of Boavista and have a strong head-to-head record against them at home, winning three and drawing the other of their last four games against the Axadrezados.

But 1.57 looks a little on the short side for a bet.

We can do better than that.

Braga tend to be involved in some pretty goal-filled matches. Their last five games ended 3-2, 3-1, 0-1, 2-1, 3-1 and 3-2, so you can almost bank on the fact there will be more of them here.

With 66% of their home games going over 2.5 goals this season, the smart money is on the idea that if Braga do win again, it should be with at least three goals in the game. You can get 2.2 on a home win and over 2.5 goals with Betway.

Back Braga to win and over 2.5 goals2.2Braga are a far better side even after their change of manager and should win this game against a team who are badly out of form. It’s a game that should have a fair few goals, so bet accordingly.Betway

Turkish Süper Lig: Besiktas v Antalyaspor odds and tips

The Turkish League also returns this weekend and the most intriguing match is this one.

There’s no doubt as to who is the best known and the most fashionable of these two sides (it’s Besiktas!) and the odds certainly reflect that.

They make the hosts 1.45 favourites but one has to question whether that’s a fair price.

Podolski

Antalyaspor were on a good run before the break, losing just one of their last 10 league and Cup matches and going through what is by far their best run of the campaign. Part of the reason for their success has been the good form of veteran German striker Lukas Podolski, who only arrived in February, but scored twice in his last four games.

If you want a further reason to oppose Besiktas, here’s one. When this match was played at Besiktas’ home ground last year, it ended in a 3-2 win for the visitors. Another still is that Besiktas have been struggling somewhat this season with many of their more experienced players like Ricardo Quaresma and Gary Medel moving on after years of service.

The outsiders are more than capable of securing at least a draw here.

Back Antalyaspor on the Double Chance market2.65Antalyaspor were in excellent form before the break and they can really give the hosts something to think about here. Keep both the away win and the draw onside by backing the outsiders on the Double Chance market.10CRIC

Danish Superligaen: Brondby v AGF Aarhus odds and tips

Rounding off our trip around Europe, we stop in Denmark and if there’s one match this weekend that should have goals in Denmark, it’s this one.

77% of Brondvy’s home games this campaign went over 2.5 goals and so did 70% of the away games played by AGF. As an example of the fact that Brondby are a side involved in high-scoring matches is that last week they lost 3-2 at AC Horsens. Want to guess what Aarhus’ score was last weekend? They won 3-2 themselves! For the record, four of the last five games between these two had over 2.5 goals.

So we really should get goals here and the odds on offer about that are pretty decent indeed so let’s hope it’s a game that goes to form.

Back over 2.5 goals1.73All the stats are on our side here. The home record of the hosts, the away record of the visitors and the head-to-head between these two all point towards goals.Betway
