Back in 2004, I joined those pioneers of the industry that were Betfair, first working in the Operations Department before moving into the Communications Department, eventually becoming the first-ever Editor of the betting.betfair website, considered one of the most thorough and knowledgeable sports betting websites in the world.
I still write about football and betting for them on a weekly basis.
I moved from London to Malta in 2011, still at Betfair, before joining Scandinavian company Nordicbet, who are owned by Swedish giants Betsson, as their Editorial Manager.
In 2016 I somewhat appropriately decided to ‘take a gamble’ and went freelance, which is what I’ve been doing ever since.
Here at Bet India, I preview the top sports events in football, cricket, UFC and a few other sports with the aim of providing our readers with insightful information around the events including stats and team news, but also winning tips based on years of analysing similar events and knowing how to uncover the best bets.
But in addition to that, I always feel that it’s vitally important to explain why those are good bets and so I consider my role as one of educating readers about betting just as important as that of tipping winners or laying out the key stats.
Away from work I’m a keen footgolf player, manage a Premier League Fantasy football team, play pub quizzes, enjoy cooking at home and monitor the stock markets for good investment opportunities.
