St Lucia Zouks v Trinbago Knight Riders betting tips and predictions

When recommending the best places for online betting, we lookout for many things including the variety of cricket betting markets, a site that is easy to use and how good their odds are.

The last one is crucial as the difference between stingy odds and generous odds is huge and the more winning bets you have, the greater the difference is.

It may arguably be the most important factor of all when choosing a good betting site.

Back Scott Kuggeleijn to be St Lucia Zouks Top Bowler3.75The Kiwi all-rounder has been head and shoulders above his team-mates when it comes to taking wickets- he has 10 while the next best is Roston Chase’s five.

He’s closing in on 100 T20 games and his experience is paying off on Caribbean wickets that seem to suit him.

This is a great chance to back such an in-form man at good odds.

Back Mohammad Nabi to be Zouks Top Batsman11.0This one’s a real gamble- just look at the odds- but it’s not that far-fetched to think that the Zouks could be three or four down for not that many runs with plenty of overs still left when Nabi comes to the crease. He may just have 20 or 25 runs to beat and few in this side can hit the ball as big and and as hard as him. It’s worth remembering that at these sort of odds you only need one of these wagers to come off once in as blue moon to be in profit and we’re hoping Nabi can deliver for us.10CRIC

Trinbago Knight Riders’ recent form

It was all about Sunil Narine in games one and two, who had a stormer with the bat on both occasions, and delivered his usual economic and wicket-taking spells with the ball.

But in game three against Barbados, there were plenty of other players who came to the party. Colin Munro hit 50 off 30 balls, Darren Bravo 54 off 36 and Kieron Pollard a quite brutal 41 off 17. In the end it was Munro who got man-of-the-match but any of those three could quite easily have got it.

They posted 188/3 with Pollard and Darren Bravo in scintillating form in the last few overs, hitting boundary after boundary against a Tridents attack that just seemed to run out of ideas and were just attempting a damage limitation exercise.

With the ball, they all played their part with five different bowlers each taking a wicket and Narine particularly good, going for just 17 runs off four overs. All, that is, except for skipper Dwayne Bravo, who is looking a shadow of his former self. He went wicketless in four overs and conceded a huge 46 runs.

These guys look the real deal. Good thing we backed them to win at the start.

St Lucia Zouks’ recent form

The Zouks started with a loss but it’s now three wins in a row, the latest of which was very much down to an outstanding effort from deserved man-of-the-match Roston Chase.

Against the Amazon Warriors his 66 was crucial in getting them to a decent total and though he didn’t take any wickets with the ball, his economy rate of 7 was extremely important as they defended a par total.Scott Kuggeleijn

We really didn’t fancy them at the start of the tournament but their Afghanistani pair of Zadran and Mohammad Nabi have been good, opener Andre Fletcher can be as destructive as anyone on his day, Kiwi spinner Scott Kuggeleijn has taken a remarkable 10 wickets in just four games and we’ve discussed Chase already.

The problem may be skipper Darren Sammy himself. He doesn’t bowl anymore, his batting has been atrocious so he’s pretty much just there as captain.

That’s fine to an extent because he’s the best man for the job – he did, after all, lead the Windies to two T20 World Cup wins-  but he’s a so-called ‘passenger’ if he’s not contributing with bat or ball. That may be an issue as the tournament progresses.
