Other than the Gujarat Titans, both the Lucknow Super Giants and the Rajasthan Royals have been two of the most enjoyable teams to watch this season. But what are my LSG vs RR betting predictions saying?

I have been looking at the online cricket satta bazar alongside the team news, individual stats, and collective form of each side to come up with the best IPL betting tips ahead of the clash.

The game gets underway from 7.30 pm (IST) on Sunday 15th May at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

LSG vs RR Betting Odds

The LSG come into the clash as favourites – unsurprisingly, given their overall form throughout the season and the individual brilliance of KL Rahul on their roster.

However, they were dismantled by the Gujarat Titans last time out and I can see value in backing Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler and co. That’s why my premium LSG vs RR betting predictions revolve around a win for the latter. For more free cricket betting tips – scroll below.

LSG vs RR Betting Winner Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back Rajasthan Royals to win @ 1.98 with Parimatch

The newcomers are strong favourites in the LSG vs RR betting odds – a testament to how far KL Rahul and his charges have come since making their debut in the competition.

However, I think the oddsmakers are wide of the mark on this one. The LSG were comprehensively outplayed by the Titans on Tuesday 11th May – skipper Rahul bemoaned his team’s approach to batting in the powerplay as they were dismissed for just 82 in pursuit of 1444.

Meanwhile, despite some rocky results, the Royals have the underlying individual and collective form to get the job done in this writer’s opinion. Jos Buttler is all-but certain to win the Orange Cap, while spin-wizard Yuzvendra Chahal is vying for the Purple Cap award and will have half an eye on Dwayne Bravo’ and Harshal Patel’s joint-record of 32 wickets in a single IPL season – the highest amount by any player ever.

Let’s not forget the result between these two sides earlier in the season too, when a disciplined bowling performance from the Royals defended 165/6.

I will be placing my bet with Parimatch – one of the leading online Indian betting sites. Find out more and read our Parimatch review.

LSG vs RR Hot Bet!

Recommended Bet: Back Yuzvendra Chahal to be the Royaks’ top bowler @ 3.25 with 10CRIC

We have a real battle on our hands between spin twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Wanindu Hasaranga. At the time of writing, both are tied on 23 wickets – with Hasaranga ahead due to a better economy rate (there is a minimal 0.08 in it).

I fancy Chahal to edge ahead in the race with a few wickets against the Super Giants – he won Man of the Match against the LSG back on 10th April with 4 wickets for 41 runs. I’m backing him to repeat the trick.

His individual battle with Hasaranga is one of the main reasons why I think he will be the top Royals bowler here. The Purple Cap is a hugely important individual award in this format – if ever there was an incentive for Chahal, this game against the Super Giants represents a massive one.

I will place my wager with 10CRIC – an Indian betting site that focuses on offering the best odds on individual player markets.

LSG Recent Form

Defeat to the Titans on Tuesday ended a run of four back-to-back victories for the Lucknow Super Giants.

KL Rahul’s team prefer to set targets than chase them – 75% of their victories in IPL 22 have come when batting first.

Team News

A video emerged in the aftermath of the defeat to the Titans of coach Guatam Gambhir delivering a verbal volley to his team.

In a damning speech, he said: “There is nothing wrong in losing, it is absolutely fine. One team has to win, one team has to lose. But there is a lot wrong with giving up.”

“Today I thought that we gave up and we were weak. And honestly, there is no place for being weak in a tournament like the IPL or in sport.”

It will be fascinating to see how the team reacts to such harsh criticism.

There are no new injury issues for team management to consider.

Player to Watch: Moshin Khan

Arguably the best young bowler in the tournament, Mohsin Khan is going from strength to strength for the LSG. The 23 year-old has only played six games this season, but has already claimed 10 wickets – averaging an incredible 10.90 per wicket.

He also boasts the best economy rate of any bowler in the competition. I will be backing him to be the top wicket taker for the LSG at 4.0 and have a cheeky side bet on him to be Man of the Match at 21.0 with Betway – if the Royals don’t manage to win, I reckon it will be Khan to have had a big say.

LSG’s Likely XI

KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Moshin Khan, Avesh Khan.

RR Recent Form

A run of just one win in four matches has transformed a comfortable campaign for the Rajasthan Royals into a nervy ending.

They are still in pole position for the playoffs, but victory against the LSG should seal the deal for Sanju Samson and his side. Defeat, and the collective gnawing of nails will increase.

Team News

There are no new injury problems for Samson to contend – they have a clean bill of health.

Player to Watch: Jos Buttler

Can Jos Buttler break Virat Kohli’s run-scoring record of 973 runs? It’d take some going by the Englishman – but in this form, you never know!

He’s currently on 625 runs, but with a minimum of three innings left (likely more) – that means huge scores for each of his remaining matches.

I am backing the RR to win and Jos Buttler to score a century as part of Betway’s pre-built specials – you can get odds of 4.0!

RR’s Likely XI

Jos Buttler, Yashasvi, Sanju Samson (c) (wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravi Ashwin, Yuzvvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Navdeep Saini

Venue & conditions

The last three matches at the Brabourne Stadium were won by the team batting first – given LSG’s record of winning when opening the batting, will Sanju Samson insert his team to get runs on the board if he wins the toss?
