Jamaica Tallawahs Team News

For the Jamaica Tallawahs, one thing is clear – their middle order has the capability to get them out of the most embarrassing holes. Carlos Braithwaite, and Andre Russell once more proved they have an X Factor to their batting that injects genuine fear into fielding sides – but preferably when there is a platform from which to do so.

Unfortunately,, that’s where the optimism ends – the batting collapse was dismal and despite reaching a defendable total, the Knight Riders picked off their bowling attack with ease.

There are no new injuries to speak of, but there will be a lot of dented pride to salvage!

Jamaica Tallawahs Likely XI

Chadwick Walton(wk), Kennar Lewis, Haider Ali, Rovman Powell, Shamarh Brooks, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Migael Pretorius, Chris Green, Fidel Edwards, Joshua James.

Trinbago Knight Riders Team News

Arguably the biggest plus from their rout of the Tallawahs was the performance of Lendl Simmons. The opener for the Trinbago Knight Riders has been struggling to find his form of late, but a crisp 70 runs from just 45 balls will have franchise fans hoping for a return to his talismanic talents.

There was concern surrounding the performance of Isuru Udana, however. The Sri Lankan pacer went for 49 runs from his three overs, although he did pick up the wicket of Imad Wasim.

No new injuries to speak of, so the line-up is unlikely to change.

Trinbago Likely XI

Lendl Simmons, Sunil Narine, Tion Webster, Kieron Pollard©, Colin Munro, Tim Seifert, Denesh Ramdin(wk), Isuru Udana, Khary Pierre, Ravi Rampaul, Akeal Hosein

Venue & Conditions

As always, we’re in Warner Park for this game. Sunday evening’s game was under threat at one point after some unpredictable weather patterns, but a 49-minute delay wasn’t enough to get the game abandoned. The current weather forecast has it down as partly cloudy with a 19% chance of rain – here’s hoping we avoid any delay this time around.

Jamaica Tallawahs  vs Trinbago Knight Riders Head To Head

The result last time out means the Knight Riders stretch their head-to-head lead over the Tallawahs to 11-9. It is certainly an impressive lead – you can see why I’m backing them to win again!

Jamaica Tallawahs  vs Trinbago Knight Riders Toss Prediction

After winning the toss and putting the Tallawahs in on Sunday, captain Kieron Pollard will be eyeing another correct coin-flip call. Currently, the record stands at 10 apiece in competitive contests – I probably don’t need to tell you that’s a win rate of 50%.

I’m backing the Knight Riders to use the momentum from Sunday night to make the coin land in their favour.

Recommended Bet: Back Trinbago Knight Riders to win @ 1.75 with Casumo

There was a palpable sense of normal service resuming in the Knight Riders win over the Tallawahs. There was a ruthlessness in their play which has been lacking at times this season. Despite a bad run of results, it isn’t out of the question for last year’s CPL victors to get back in the conversation for this year’s title – and I’m backing them to come out on top here.

I’m placing my wager with Casumo – they have some fantastic match winner market prices and a great range of other betting opportunities.
