Both teams to score: Why is this a good bet?

From a football betting perspective, this is one of those bets that can click very well.

Neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid have been defensively strong in the last few matches.

It wouldn’t be surprising if we see the visitors sneak an odd goal past Barca’s defence, especially with Jordi Alba no longer at the helm.

As for the Catalans, given their attacking prowess, they are more than likely to score goals in this critical encounter.

Barcelona to win and both teams to score: Why is this a good bet?

Following back to back losses, Madrid will be feeling pressure for this critical El Clasico tie.

It is a matter of pride more than anything for them and the nerves are bound to play a role here.

Plus, with a dearth of attacking options, it may be difficult for the visitors to attack and put constant pressure on Barca’s defence.

Meanwhile, Barca are flaunting an attack filled with pace, experience, and skills. Ansu Fati, Coutinho, Messi, Griezmann – these four alone on their best day can easily dismantle the opposition. Of course, this is good on paper but imagining the same on the pitch is not too far fetched.

All signs point to an inevitable Barca victory with goals set to be scored by both sides.

Coutinho to score anytime: Why is this a good bet?

Coutinho has become a regular for the Catalans since returning from his loan spell with Bayern Munich. He has earned his place in the squad and has been quite consistent in his performance. We expect him to find his name on the goal sheet against the Madridistas, especially at such attractive odds.

Latest IPL predictions

FC Barcelona have had a rather wobbly start to their 2020-21 season under the leadership of newly appointed Ronald Koeman.

The former Barca man is attempting to take the team to its previous heights amidst a very critical time.

Combine this with Lionel Messi’s messy transfer talks during the summer and controversial player exits, it is fair to say that the team morale, in all likelihood, is quite low at the moment.

Furthermore, losing the league title to Madridistas last season and the humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in Champions League are two wounds still too fresh for the Catalans.

Two months into the new season and they have already had their fair share of defeats. Before the La Liga started, they lost to Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana and succumbed to Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey.

As for their run in the domestic league, they started with back to back wins over Villarreal and Celta de Vigo, scoring 7 goals in the process with a clean sheet in both the games.

However, their fortunes soon turned when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla and lost to Getafe with 1-0 last weekend.

That said, they can seek some consolation from their resounding 5-1 win in the Champions League mid-week over Ferencvaros.

Ansu Fati of Barcelona. He is one of our top bets in the Barcelona vs Real Madrid Betting Tips.

On the positive side, Koeman is focussing astutely on player rotation while building the confidence of the young players in the team. Ansu Fati – the young Spanish wunderkind has been thriving superbly under the Dutchman.

The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Pedri, Trincao, and Dembele are also getting enough playing time to build their traction.

In fact, many of these names have managed to score a few goals in the matches building up to the El Clasico.

Needless to mention, the team is bustling with plenty of talent, experience, and speed – now what is needed is a player who can glue all of this together on the field.

It will need to be a team effort if they want to avenge their losses and reestablish their dominance.

Real Madrid

Things are not looking all that great for Real Madrid either.

While the Catalans were succumbing to Getafe last weekend, the Los Galacticos incurred their first home league defeat in the longest time. This shocking loss came at the hands of the newly promoted Cadiz with 1-0.

Then, in the Champions League – the unexpected happened once again. Facing Shaktar Donetsk – a side that was essentially playing with reserve players because of their main players testing positive for the Covid-19, Madrid started as the overwhelming favourites to win.

That soon changed in the first half when they found themselves trailing by 3-0. The heroics of Modric and Junior in the second half pulled the team to 2-3, but that wasn’t enough as Zinedine Zidane’s men lost their second consecutive game at the Santiago Bernabeu in a span of four days.

Prior to these stunning losses, Madrid found themselves on a winning run but they were not so prolific by their standards. The results included 3-2 sluggish victory over Real Betis, 2-0 win over Levante, and a 1-0 win over Real Valladolid.

In comparison to Barca, they have scored less and conceded more so far this season. While they may lack the attack options,  they do have a pretty diverse squad, filled with the likes of Benzema, Ramos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, and many more.

Where to bet on Barcelona vs Real Madrid

When it comes to the El Clasico betting tips, one thing to keep in mind is the previous history and past form don’t matter much.

It is a rivalry that goes back decades and every meeting is a new, fresh encounter in itself. Anything can happen here but one thing to know – it will be a goal-scoring affair.
