England vs Sri Lanka Winner Prediction
Recommended Bet: Back England to win in live betting @ 1.5 with Pure Win
So a quick recap of what we’ve done so far this Series in terms of trying to make a profit.
A reminder that we exchanged our match winner prediction for bets on whether a century would be scored in the game. In the first match we went ‘no’ which won at 2.3 and in the second we went ‘yes’.a 1.6, which didn’t win.
So it’s basic maths to conclude that a bet at 2.3 that won and one at 1.6 which didn’t, still shows us a profit.
So what are we doing this time? We think that Sri Lanka can only get better for getting more used to English conditions as the Series progresses and that England may somewhat take their foot off the pedal given they’re 2-0 up and may give some lesser players a chance.
So we revert back to our strategy of trying to back England at 1.5 or better in live betting.
It’s just a case of waiting for a good start for Sri Lanka with the bat or a poor one from England, where their batsmen play a little too freely and give their wicket away.
So back England at 1.5 in live betting at any stage because we’re confident that if they have a couple of problems, they’ll be able to overcome them.
They’re good enough, no doubt about that. If they never reach 1.5 in live betting, don’t bet. No harm done.

Today’s England vs Sri Lanka Hot Bet
Recommended bet: Back Dasun Shanaka to be Sri Lanka Top batsman @ 9.5 with 10CRIC
We haven’t changed our minds about Dasun Shanaka being a top-class batsman who has the class, ability and temperament that should hold him in good stead to play a strong innings in conditions that should suit him better than most of the other Sri Lankan batsmen.
The proof is in the pudding. In the first game he was out for just 1 but in the second his well-constructed 47 off 67 was trumped only by Dhananjaya de Silva’s excellent 91.
This is a batsman with something about him who looked really good last time out and in a batting line-up where I can’t really trust anyone beyond maybe Kusal Perera, I’m delighted to be able to get 9.5 about a player with his credentials.
