Today’s hundred betting odds have the Rockets as mild favourites and it’s hard to disagree with that assessment. I’ll tell you why they’re the favourites and why they’re worth siding with here, meaning it’s the Rockets who are our free cricket betting tips to win the game.

I’ll also give you my prediction for who can win the toss and my Hot Bet, a betting tip at bigger odds than usual that is normally a top batsman or top bowler selection. In this case, it’s a top bowler.

Northern Superchargers vs Trent Rockets Betting Winner Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back the Trent Rockets to win @ 1.8

Looking a Northern Superchargers vs Trent Rockets betting, the best betting sites in India have the Rockets as favourites and you can just about see why that’s the case.

They were the better side last year in the competition and started this season in style with a fine win over the highly-rated Birmingham Phoenix.

A Top 4 of Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Colin Munro and Joe Root is as good as it gets in this tournament while Daniel Sams, Samit Patel and the underrated Luke Wood are fine bowlers.

And if all else fails, Rashid Khan is more than capable of winning the game by himself.

The Superchargers did admittedly win their first match this season as well with a good chase of 162 against the Manchester Originals and look better balanced than they were last year.

But ther Rockets get the nod, also because they won this fixture last year here at Headingley.

Northern Superchargers vs Trent Rockets Betting Hot Bet Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back David Willey to be Northern Superchargers Top Bowler @ 4.5 with Betway

Adil Rashid, Dwayne Bravo and David Wiese are three of the most experienced bowlers in white-ball cricket with hundreds of games under their belts.

But the man to look at here for top bowler for the Superchargers might be the skipper, David Willey.

He’s had an excellent summer so far with the ball for England and in the county game and was the only bowler to take two wickets in their first match.

He bowls at the start and at the death when wickets tend to fall so has every chance here again at good odds.

Venue & conditions

We haven’t had a game at Headingley yet but here’s what we know about the wicket from last season.

173, 127, 200 and 143.

Those were the four first innings scores here in Leeds last year.

143 is about par for this tournament whereas 127 is quite a low score but that was just down to a poor batting display from the Oval Invincibles on the day.

But the fact that the Welsh Fire got to 173 and that the Superchargers themselves scored 200 suggests this could be a good batting pitch.

Two of those four matches were won by the side batting first and two by the chasers so there’s no obvious advantage to batting or fielding first.

There’s a 1% chance of rain in Leeds so we should get a full game with no interruptions.
