Oval Invincibles vs London Spirit Betting Odds

Today’s hundred betting odds have the Invincibles as favourites and it’s hard to disagree with that assessment.

And it’s the Invincibles who are my free cricket betting tips to win the game. I’ll explain in greater detail why they look strong and just how good their record is when at home.

I’ll also give you my prediction for who can win the toss and my Hot Bet, a betting tip at bigger odds than usual that is normally a top batsman or top bowler selection.

Find out who I’m going for here and why.

Oval Invincibles vs London Spirit Betting Winner Prediction

The Spirit finished bottom last season with just one win in seven completed matches and though they’re unlikely to have as bad a campaign this time round, at first glance it doesn’t seem like they recruited the best-possible players to improve significantly.

Top-class middle order, yes.

But the bowling looks a little weak and maybe they could have done with a world-class opener rather than so many middle-order stars.

That’s a discussion for another day and they may yet prove us wrong but they don’t look the best-balanced.

The Spirit are unlikely to find this easy.

The Invincibles had a decent campaign last term and crucially, won all four of their matches here at The Oval.

So they know this wicket well, what they need to score batting first and how to go about chasing.

It would be a big surprise if they stopped the Invincibles invincibility here, so it’s worth going with the hosts here, as favourites with all the online betting sites.

Recommended Bet: Back Ben McDermott to be London Spirit Top Batsman @ 3.75 with Betway

Ben McDermott is fresh from a fine BBL season where he was the top scorer and did plenty of damage in the recent T20 Blast as well.

He’s really coming into his own of late and has had time to acclimatise to English conditions after being over in the UK for a few months now.

He could end up being one of the stars of the tournament and is a decent price to top score for his side here.

Venue & conditions

145/8, 121/7, 125/6, 146/7.

Those were the first innings scores last year here at The Oval.

That’s an average of 134 batting first so bear that in mind when playing the first innings runs market.

There was a 2/2 split in terms of teams batting first and second going on to win the match so no toss bias where there’s an obvious advantage to doing one or the other here at The Oval.

When it comes to playing at this ground, the Oval Invincibles are…invincible!

They played four here last year and won all four so the signs are that it won’t be so easy for anyone to come here and win.

There’s a 2% chance of rain in London on Thursday so nothing to worry about in terms of interruptions, much less overs lost to rain.
