I have been examining the live cricket satta rates to establish my RR vs DC betting predictions ahead of what could prove a decisive clash in establishing the IPL playoff teams.

The Royals have had a sensational season thus far – the exploits of gun batter Jos Buttler at the top of the order setting the tone for an exciting campaign which has resulted in some classic matches. The hat-trick for Yuzvendra Chahal in the victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders lives long in the memory!

The Capitals, meanwhile, are scrapping with every sinew to make the playoffs, though the fight wasn’t in much evidence in their lame defeat to the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.

In the previous meeting between these two this campaign, the Royals won a high-scoring affair in which 400+ runs were scored!

RR vs DC Betting Odds

My RR vs DC betting instincts are siding with a result for the Royals – Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Devdutt Paddkal form part of the most formidable batting unit in the tournament in this writer’s opinion and I think they will have too much for the Capitals.

RR vs DC Betting Winner Prediction

Recommended Bet: Back Rajasthan Royals to win @ 1.72 with Parimatch

Before I give you the breakdown of my RR vs DC betting predictions, I should get my cards on the table. I’m a huge English cricket fan, and the form of Jos Buttler has me enormously excited for the upcoming cricketing summer. We’ve had it tough lately, so I hope you can forgive some pro-Buttler eulogising.

The Orange Cap frontrunner has been irrepressible for the Royals! He has almost single-handedly helped his side all-but guarantee a spot in the playoffs, and his bombastic playing style is thrilling millions of IPL fans like no other player can!

If Buttler fails, there is usually a capable batter stepping up to the platter – namely Devdutt Paddikal and Sanju Samson. The emergence of Yashasvi Jaiswal is also putting bowling attacks on notice – his sensational 68 from 41 balls was the glue to his franchise’s push fo victory over the Punjab Kings on Saturday.

While there is lots to like about the Royals, it’s harder to find reasons why the Capitals will win. The thrashing at the hands of the struggling Chennai Super Kings on Sunday will be worrying team management – it’s a loss of momentum at exactly the wrong time in season.

I will be placing my match winner bet with Parimatch. They tend to offer the biggest odds out of all Indian betting sites – you can find out more by reading our Parimatch review.

RR vs DC Hot Bet

Recommended Bet: Y Jaiswal to score 50+ runs @ 4.33 with 10CRIC

I must admit, I wasn’t totally aware of Jaiswal’s abilities before he came into the Royals’ side on Saturday – but his assertive and confident innings against a potent Punjab Kings attack caught my attention.

A fluent 68 runs from 41 balls from the 20 year-old – his first appearance in over a month – included nine 4s and two 6s and has almost certainly solidified his place in the side for the remaining three games of the group stages.

He has the perfect batting partner in Jos Buttler, who should be able to take the pressure off at the top of the order given his quick-scoring nature.

I am going to bet on Jaiswal to make it two half-centuries in a row with 10CRIC – they are a phenomenal Indian betting site that specialises in individual player markets. Read our 10CRIC review to find out more.

Rajasthan Royals Recent Form

A convincing six-wicket win over Punjab Kings on Saturday stopped the rot – they had previously lost back-to-back games.

The Rajasthan Royals owe much of their high-flying league position to English dynamo Jos Buttler – he has hit a single digit score just once in 12 games, regularly making massive contributions throughout the campaign.

Despite recent patchy form, I can see the Royals having enough to get the job done here.

Team News

Shrimron Hetmyer will miss the next few games to attend the birth of his child. In an interview with franchise media, he said “my stuff is still in the room” – intimating a possible return for the playoffs.

There are no further injury issues for the Royals – Nathan Coulter-Nile remains the only long-term absentee. The Australian has flown home to receive treatment on a side strain.

Player to Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal

The spin wizard continues to weave a web at the top of the Purple Cap leaderboard – at the time of writing, Chahal has taken 22 wickets at an average of 14.5 per wicket and with an economy rate of 7.25.

He will have his eyes set on the record for the number of wickets taken in a single IPL season – that record currently belongs to Dwayne Bravo, who claimed 32 wickets in IPL 2013.

I think Chahal is motivated to be the new record holder and I am going to back him to be the top wicket-taker for the Rajasthan Royals against the Delhi Capitals. You can back him at 3.25 with Betway.

Royals’ Likely XI

Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c) (wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Rassie van der Dussen, Riyan Parag, Ravi Ashwin, Yuzvvendra Chahal, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Navdeep Saini

Delhi Capitals’ Recent Form

The collapse against the Chennai Super Kings was alarming – suddenly, the Delhi Capitals’ hopes of making the playoffs are very much in the balance.

Defeat to the Royals could mean an early elimination from the tournament, were results to go against them – nothing other than a win will do for Rishabh Pant’s side.

There will also be a desire to exact revenge after the 15-run defeat to the Rajasthan Royals back on 22nd April. Kuldeep Yadav bowled three overs for 40 runs and claimed no wickets – can he find redemption here?

Team News

There are no new injuries to worry team management coming into the match – though lots of concern surrounding form.

Can skipper Pant find the form he’s been missing to lead his team to a priceless victory here?

Player to Watch: Kuldeep Yadav

It would have been a humbling experience for Yadav in the Capitals’ defeat to the Royals earlier in the campaign.

The joint-third highest wicket taker of this year’s competition was dealt with comprehensively by Jos Buttler (116 from 65 balls), Devdutt Padikkal (54 from 35 balls), and Sanju Samson (46 from 19 balls). Will he get his revenge here?

You can back him to take 2+ wickets at 2.50 with Betway.

Delhi Capitals’ Likely XI

David Warner, Privthi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Andre Nortje, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman

Venue & conditions

The last two games at the DY Patil stadium have followed an interesting pattern! The team batting first compiles competitive scores, and the team chasing collapse in pursuit.

The CSK hit 208/6 before the Capitals fell to 117 all out in the penultimate match at this venue. Last time out, the Kolkata Knight Riders hit 165/9 before the Mumbai Indians were all out for 113.

I wonder whether the winner of the toss will opt to bat first in receipt of that knowledge. A fascinating coin-flip awaits!

Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals Head-to-Head

There is not much to choose between these two when analysing the RR vs DC head to head record, with the Royals just sneaking it – 13 wins to 12!

Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Capitals Toss Prediction

While the Royals have a head to head advantage, the Capitals are better at the toss – winning 14 of the 25 coin flips.
