GT vs RR Betting Winner Prediction
Recommended Bet: Back GT to win @ 1.9 with Betway
It’s a fitting end to the 2022 IPL that the two sides who topped the Group Stages are in the final and that it’s pretty much a 50/50 affair going into the decider.
They’ve certainly been the two best sides in the competition.
As we explained in our Playoff preview, the statistics show that for whatever reason, the runner-up of the Group Stages tends to win the IPL far more often than the side who actually topped the Group.
And there’s no doubt that the Royals’ Jos Buttler will be the most feared player from among the batsmen on show.
Fair enough. But perhaps there are more reasons to think Gujarat will go on to win it.
They won both matches against the Royals this year, first in the Group Stages and then again of course in the Qualifier 1.
And whereas the Royals look a bit over-dependent on Buttler, all of Pandya, Saha, Gill and Miller have played important knocks over the past few matches so aren’t so reliant on one player.
Add to the equation that GT have undoubtedly the better bowling attack and that makes our minds up for us.
And here’s our Betway review, with all the info you need to know about a highly recommended betting site who offer generous odds, good bonuses and a top-class live betting product.
Plus of course, all the latest GT vs RR betting markets and odds.

Recommended Bet: Back Obed McCoy to be RR Top Bowler @ 3.61 with 10CRIC
The likes of Buttler and Chahal have received most of the plaudits this season and rightly so.
But there have been a couple of Royals players who have made greater contributions than they’ve been given credit for.
One of them is Ravi Ashwin (who’s batted well in addition to bowling nicely) and another is Obed McCoy.
The West Indian was in and out of the side at one stage but the truth is that he took at least one wicket in every single one of the six matches he played this season.
Two of the things we always look for in our top bowler betting guide are bowlers who always bowl their four overs and who bowl at the death: McCoy does both.
Last match he took three wickets to tie with Prasidh Krishna, the one before he took one to tie with Trent Boult and the one before that, he took two to tie with Chahal that time.
So he’s come pretty close and let’s hope he can win it on his own this time.
